OUR STORY

Started by people who needed it too.

Cam Piasecki, CPSRP, CRPA, Esq. — Founder of New Foundations Recovery.
Cam PiaseckiFounder · CPSRP, CRPA, Esq.

New Foundations Recovery started with our founder, Cam Piasecki. After getting sober, Cam went looking for a recovery coach to help with everything that comes after treatment, and ran into two walls. The coaching he found nearby cost more than he could afford. And the coaches didn't feel relatable: different age, different background, entered recovery in a different era. It was hard to see himself in any of them.

So in 2022, Cam built the thing he couldn't find. Recovery coaching that's actually within reach from peers in long-term recovery of similar age and background. That's still the whole idea, hundreds of clients and families later: accessible, relatable, personalized to each client, and unmatched in quality. We work alongside the providers you already trust.

It's also why every client and family we work with has direct access to Cam at any hour. No gatekeepers, no layered communication. Your recovery is a priority and we don't just say that. We show it every single day, for every client and every family we work with.

We meet you where you are at. Your pace, on your terms, without judgment.

What we want you to know

We care.

We care about the people we support and the families standing alongside them. We pick up because we want to, not because it's our job.

We have the hard conversations, and we approach this work with the kind of vulnerability that only comes from having lived it ourselves.

We aren't here to be the biggest coaching practice, the best known, or the most exclusive, and we won't sell you a monthly membership for fancy dinners and luxury amenities you'll probably never use. That's not what recovery is about. Recovery is about real connection, full transparency, and having each other's backs. It's about showing up no matter what, and watching someone return to their life while helping them build the one they deserve.

This isn't a job for us — it's what gives us meaning and purpose. We support people when they need it most because that's what others once did for us.

The way we operate isn't an accident. I've seen the other side of this world first-hand — not from the people I chose to support me, but from the ones I didn't.

The pushy sales tactics. The fear instilled during a vulnerable time from being told my aftercare plan would fail if they weren't a part of it. The people who showed up to my 12-step meetings looking to fill houses instead of working their own program. That's not how any of this should ever feel, and proving there's a better way is at the core of how we operate.

If you want unconditional support, a team that truly cares, and recovery that feels meaningful, you're in the right place. And if it doesn't feel right, that's okay too. Everyone's journey is different, and we're not here to tell anyone what's right for them.

We know what's worked for us, for our clients, and for the families who've trusted us in their hardest moments. That's what we have to offer. Everyone deserves a chance to feel better and be happy, and if we can be part of restoring that for you, we can't wait to get started.

Different paths. One purpose. Healing together.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

What we believe.

We started from one belief: good recovery support should be within reach for the people who need it — accessible, relatable, and done with the care recovery actually demands.

01

Accessible and relatable.

Accessibility shouldn't mean compromise. We keep our coaching within reach and match you with coaches close to your age and story, at a quality and level of personalization that's hard to find elsewhere.

02

Peer-led, not above you.

Every coach here is in recovery themselves. We're a few steps down the same road, sharing what we learned to help you find what works.

03

A plan built around your life.

There's no single right way to do this. We build your plan around your goals, your schedule, and your pace, and adjust it as life changes.

04

Independent by design.

Coaching is all we do. We're not connected to a sober house or treatment program, and we don't refer you to programs we own. When we point you somewhere, it's the best fit for you, not us.

05

Whatever path fits you.

12-step, SMART, faith-based, or your own blend. We meet you on your path instead of handing you ours.

06

Your whole team, working together.

We stay in close contact with your family (when you want us to) and with your providers (therapist, prescriber, program) so everyone's informed and nothing slips through the cracks.

07

Built for real, everyday life.

Recovery happens in the day-to-day. We work on the practical parts: routines, accountability, and handling the hard moments.

08

Rooted in community.

We're active in the recovery community ourselves, and we help you build a network and put down roots. Connection is what makes recovery last.

How far your recovery investment goes

Our lane

We're not a replacement for residential treatment. We're a way to protect the investment in one. When treatment ends, the real work begins, and that's where coaching lives.

Why does this matter? Decades of addiction-recovery research points to the same conclusion: the length of someone's engagement in recovery support is one of the strongest predictors of long-term outcomes. More time means a better opportunity to build a foundation that holds.

Quality recovery support is grown from passion, not profit. At New Foundations Recovery we provide a bespoke quality of care at a price that doesn't put it out of reach.

INDEPENDENT BY DESIGN

Why our independence matters.

NFR isn't part of a sober house, a treatment program, or any organization with another service to sell you. Coaching is all we do and that's on purpose.

One focus

All in on the coaching.

We don't run a sober house, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), or an intervention service. Coaching isn't a side service to anything we sell. All our energy goes into making the coaching the best it can be, for individuals and for families. It's our sole focus, not an afterthought.

No upsells

No conflict of interest.

When we help you find sober living, an IOP, clinical care, or any other resource, we're matching you to the best fit for you, not the program on our balance sheet. We have strong relationships with many sober-living homes and clinical partners, and we still believe trusted peer support belongs independent of them.

Real trust

Honesty without a cost.

Trust and honesty are the foundation of every coaching relationship. But when your coach also works for the sober house you live in, telling the truth about a slip can mean losing your housing, or being steered into another five-figure intervention. No one should have to navigate that. Independence takes that conflict off the table. You can be honest with us, build a real plan with your coach, and never have to choose between your recovery and your housing.

Clean start

A coach who hasn't played another role first.

Recovery coaching is built on trust from day one. When the person who staged your intervention then becomes your coach, the relationship starts from a place the client didn't choose. That can be a hard foundation to build real transparency on. NFR doesn't do interventions, so the coach you meet hasn't played another role in your story already.

Our clients always come first.

FOR LIFE

We're one big family at NFR.

We work like one big family at NFR. Clients past and present, the coaches who walk alongside them, the families they bring with them, all of it stays connected when the program ends.

We stay in touch. A year later, five years later, a decade later, we're still here.

You are never just a client to us. You're a person in recovery, like we are, who deserves support that lasts longer than a contract.

When the program ends the relationship doesn't. That's how recovery support should look.

Whether it's been one month or one decade since we worked together, we will always pick up the phone.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND NFR

Recovery led by people who've lived it.

Our coaches are certified peer professionals, and every one of them is in recovery themselves. That's not a tagline. It's who answers when you call.
