Your Questions, Answered
-
No. We meet you where you are — supportively and literally. You don’t need to have stopped using, hit a particular milestone, or be enrolled in a treatment program to reach out. Many of our clients start working with us while they’re still figuring out whether they want to change, and that’s completely okay. There’s no judgment here, and no pressure. The door is open whenever you’re ready.

Therapy is a clinical service provided by licensed mental health professionals. It explores past experiences, diagnoses, and the psychological roots of behavior. Recovery coaching is a peer support service — it’s focused on the present and future: daily accountability, goal-setting, skill-building, and navigating real-life challenges. The two are complementary, not competing. All our clients are in engaged with some form of external clinical support and work with an NFR coach at the same time. We coordinate with your care team (with your permission) to make sure everyone is on the same page.
-
We’ll still be here. Relapse is a common part of many recovery journeys — not a failure, not a disqualifier. If you relapse, the most important thing is that you reach out. We don’t pull back when things get hard; that’s exactly when we lean in. Our coaches have navigated setbacks of their own and know that what matters most is what happens next.
-
That depends on where you are in your recovery and what you need. Many clients meet two to three times a week early on, or after a difficult period. Others check in weekly or biweekly as things stabilize. We also offer daily check-ins by phone or text — because consistency between sessions can be just as important as the sessions themselves. Your schedule is built around you.
-
Yes. Your privacy matters, and we take it seriously. Information you share with your recovery coach is confidential and is not shared without your consent. When we do coordinate with your care team — therapist, doctor, treatment program — it’s only with your explicit permission. We’ll always be clear with you about what we’re sharing, with whom, and why.
-
No. We support people navigating a wide range of recovery journeys — from substances to behavioral challenges and co-occurring conditions. If you’re not sure whether our services are a good fit, reach out and we’ll talk through it together. If we’re not the right match, we’ll help connect you with someone who is.

You can also reach out through our website here. We’re committed to making our services accessible — because the work is too important to let finances get in the way.
